a week left

Hey y'all. It's a day after Christmas and this time next week I'll be back at school. Scary. But exciting. I love my class schedule for this winter and I really miss my school friends. (I miss you home friends and family too and I will continue to miss you when I get back to school! I'm not trying to diminish the importance of our relationships! Of course I probably didn't need this much of a disclaimer).
My break is going well. I had a very wonderful birthday spent with friends. I also saw Phantom of the Opera a couple days later with Bekah and it was phantabulous (hahaha). Lots of hot men. And beautiful singing. And beautiful movie making. Just a beautiful movie all together. I loved it! I can't wait to see it again. My only complaint was that the theater didn't turn the sound up loud enough. I love the way that music sends chills up and down your spine when it is so loud you can't hear anything else. The first organ cords. Oh my goodness. Wow. I want that soundtrack so I can just turn it up really loud on the stereo downstairs and lay on the couch and let the music just wash over me. Dad has the speakers set up so it's surround sound. It will be amazing. If I had the CD. Hmmm. Maybe I'll ahve to splurge and go shopping tomorrow. AAAH! I should have worked over break. And now this blog entry has turned into brain dumping. Oh well, I guess this is what blogs are for. Sometimes.

Um, so something really cool happened tonight. We had a "Schaeffer Party" and it turned out to be just as fun as all our parties seem to be. And popular. Anna had written in a note to me about how the "Schaeffer Party" has become such a tradition that for her it is the equivalent to families who go see The Nutcracker every year for Christmas. Then something really special happened at around 11:30 or 12. One of our long time friends had brought his girlfriend and he proposed! For some reason he chose our living room to propose in! (note: most of us had never met his girlfriend before) Of course she said yes. So now our parties will be immortal. They will be telling their kids someday about how he proposed in the living room of the Schaeffer's house. How sweet is that!

So its really late now. I should probably sleep. But I really just want to read some wonderful books and paint pictures and take a bath etc. This is what happens when you stay up too late - you get a third or fourth wind and don't want to go to sleep. Next week I have to start going to class at 9am again (the 8am portion is suspended for the first five weeks. YAY!) So yeah. Maybe I should get my sleep schedule more in order.

Well, that's all for tonight. A very Merry Belated Christmas to you all!

That's all, folks (for tonight)...
